Quantum KLAS LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Diamond AI mobile application (the "App") and the website quantumklas.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App or Site. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored as a one-way hash — we never store your plain-text password).
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. We receive only a tokenized reference and subscription status from Stripe.
- Communications: If you contact us by email, we collect the contents of your message and your email address.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Camera Images: When you use the App's camera to capture a question, the image is sent to our AI processing service for analysis. Original full-resolution images are never stored on your device or our servers. Only a small thumbnail (120×90 pixels, JPEG format) is saved to your library for visual reference.
- AI Results: The text of AI-generated answers and subject classifications are stored in your account to populate your library.
- Usage Data: We collect anonymized data about how you use the App, including feature usage patterns, session duration, and crash reports, to improve performance and stability.
- Device Information: We may collect your device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for trial management and analytics.
1.3 Guest Mode
If you use the App without creating an account (Guest Mode), we collect only a device identifier to enforce the free trial limit (10 captures). No email address or personal information is required or collected.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
- Process your captures through our AI analysis pipeline
- Manage your account, subscription, and billing
- Respond to your support requests and communications
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve the App
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts)
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your captures or AI results to train AI models. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Image and Data Handling
Our Zero Storage Policy: Original photos taken within the App follow this exact lifecycle:
- Image is captured by the camera sensor
- Image is compressed and transmitted over HTTPS to our AI processing service
- AI analysis is performed and the result is returned
- Full-resolution image is immediately discarded — never written to disk on your device or our servers
- A 120×90 JPEG thumbnail is saved to your library for visual reference only
This design means that even in the event of a security incident, full-resolution images of your work cannot be accessed, because they do not exist in our systems.
4. Sharing Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- AI Processing (Anthropic): Images are transmitted to Anthropic's API for analysis. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy and API terms. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train models.
- Payment Processing (Stripe): Payment information is handled directly by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.
- Infrastructure (Supabase): Your account data, AI results, and thumbnails are stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure (PostgreSQL database + object storage) with row-level security enforced.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice in the App before your information is transferred.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Cleartext HTTP connections are blocked at the OS level on both iOS (App Transport Security) and Android (Network Security Config).
- Authentication tokens are stored in the device's secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) via expo-secure-store, not in regular app storage.
- On-device preference data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Database access is protected by Row-Level Security (RLS) policies — each user can only access their own data.
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
- The App passed an independent security audit with a score of 30/30.
While we take these measures seriously, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings, which will permanently delete your stored captures, AI results, and account data within 30 days. Anonymized usage analytics may be retained for longer periods.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@quantumklas.com and we will delete that information promptly.
Users between the ages of 13 and 17 should use the App only with parental consent.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information. You may delete your account directly in the App.
- Portability: Request a machine-readable export of your data.
- Opt-out of Marketing: You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email. Transactional emails (receipts, password resets) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 10. Third-Party Links
The App and Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date, and where required by law, by sending an email notification. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
